Ed Jr and Ed Sr were both awesome. The first time we went into IGS, Ed Jr was out. Only Ed Sr was there. Ed Jr took over the business from his dad a while back, so Ed Sr decided to give us a lesson in stones. He showed us all the dimensions, what makes a good stone versus a bad stone, where to get your most value, etc. It was great. He even drew us some pictures that I still have.

Once I became an expert in diamonds, I started working with Ed Jr. He searched all over the country and must have shown me 20 different stones. Ed was patient with me as I was trying to get the biggest most beautiful stone for my dollars. And then finally, the most perfect cut right around the weight I was aiming for came along and at a great price.

I would highly recommend IGS. They only deal with the best GIA certified diamonds. You won’t find any of those shady certifications other local and chain jewelers try to push on you. I would especially recommend them if you are looking for something custom. Their jewelry maker Felix is top notch. He made the perfect ring and we’ll be getting our bands made by him to match.
